pimp my pals vol. 2 (mini)

Recently released music video directed by Scott Davidson & Matt Cameron, with director of photography Ian Forbes. Another in a long line of impressive and imaginative projects from Duncan of Jordanstone's Time Based Art graduates, this work tells the story of young girl bunking off school,  on a lone quest to find adventures both imaginary and real.

The project pulled in a crew of highly motivated and skilled individuals to work voluntarily on an intense 3 day shoot, in locations in and around Dundee, Scotland. There's a lovely natural dichotomy between confident story telling and more abstract visual styles. After what I know to have been an incredibly demanding pre-production lead up to filming, with many considerations towards an understandably tight budget, the resulting work is a beautiful and assured piece of visual narrative, that's evocative without being sentimental, and that represents the Scottish outer-city landscapes in a fabulously flattering, Ramsay-esque way. Good work to all on board!
